Ella's Birthday

Yesterday was Ella's first birthday and I think that she had a good day. I made her waffles for breakfast, her first time having them, and she liked them. I even gave her a little syrup for dipping! Then after her nap, we went downtown to have lunch with daddy and then we did a little shopping. She wore her birthday onsie and looked like such a big girl. She likes to be out and about and look at all the people and other things on the street. She is pointing at everything now, and Marc and I just try to name things she is pointing at. She missed her afternoon nap, but was still a good girl, and managed to stay up all the way home on the train.
We still can't believe that she is already one, but now we are looking forward to the next great year. So many new things for her to learn and do, and soon she'll be walking!

This is a great idea Megan! I can't wait to visit this page often and watch Ella grow. Hopefully we can get all of our little girls together in the next year to see them in person. Enjoy every minute - I can't believe that Madison will be turning 2 in January. You can see some current pictures at www.myspace.com/erikandcas.

Take care!
